Travelling for treatment
Every Wednesday morning for six weeks, I travelled from Wolverhampton to Coventry for Focused Shockwave Therapy. I couldn’t get it up. There you are, I said it. Getting older, it’s problematic to say the least. My wife was supportive but so what?
The clinic offered a course of six sessions for £1,000. I am not rolling in cash. A grand to me is a lot of money, but do you know what? Your sexual health, and this is what this is, well, you can’t put a price on it.
I took the train each week which took around 45 minutes. I could have driven and there is parking, but on that first day I was so nervous that I preferred to have a coffee, gather myself, and walk in calmly.
I need not have been nervous. The moment I stepped through the door, all that tension dissolved. There was no judgment. No awkward atmosphere. Just quiet, straightforward professionalism.
The course and the outcome
Each session was simple and surprisingly relaxed. The staff treated me with respect and made something that felt very personal feel entirely normal. The consistency of going every Wednesday actually helped me settle into it. By the time I reached the third session, the nerves I once had felt almost silly in hindsight.
I received great results from the therapy. I will not go into too many specifics, but I was genuinely pleased. A few of my friends also deal with ED and I have recommended the service to them because of how well I was looked after and the outcome I achieved. Main thing for me is, no medication. The side effects of certain well-known pills give me headaches and aren’t a long term solution.
