How Do I Stop Erectile Dysfunction?

Jump To:

Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is a sensitive topic, but it is a common issue many men face at various stages in their lives AND yes it can occur for a variety of reasons. We treat hundreds of men each year for Erectile Dysfunction at our practice in Coventry and are very proud of the results with the majority of men saying: “Yes, it’s all worked out.” How do you stop ED? In our opinion, the most effective treatment is Focused Shockwave Therapy…

This is the application of low-intensity shockwaves to the penis. This is how it works, in a nutshell.

Mechanism of Action:

Stimulating Blood Flow

When speaking with patients, this is the first thing we tell them: “Shockwave therapy improves blood flow to the penis. The waves stimulate growth of new blood vessels and improve existing blood vessel function in the penile tissue.” From this, many patients can see how simple the process is.

Tissue Regeneration

The shockwaves are also known to trigger a healing response in the penile tissue, promoting regeneration of nerve tissue and improving erectile function. What does this mean? Often, there is nerve damage or similar impairment which contributes to ED. Tissue regeneration therapies can assist in repairing and regenerating the nerve tissues in the penis if you like; it’s a shock to the system; again, this is something we explain to our patients so they understand the concept.

Effectiveness

Research on shockwave therapy for ED has shown promising results across multiple studies. At our ED shockwave clinic in Coventry, we cannot provide empirical data, but we can say, anecdotally and with utter confidence, that Focused Shockwave therapy is the most effective treatment for Erectile dysfunction.
